A major update about the Malayalam upcoming film, Pravinkoodu Shappu, has been unveiled by its makers today (October 12). The first looks of the lead actors, Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir, have been released on various social media platforms. It is clear that Basil will be portraying a police officer in the film, and Soubin is shown as a mysterious middle-aged man holding a deck of cards.

The movie is scheduled to open in theatres in December of this year, as indicated by these posters. The latest sources state that the film, which is billed as a dark-humor drama, will be released on December 20.

According to sources, the movie's theatrical charting in Kerala has already started. We expect more information on this film in the days ahead. Pravinkoodu Shappu, if it opens at the scheduled time, is anticipated to play in theatres alongside Asif Ali's Tiki Taka and Unni Mukundan's Marco.

Pravinkoodu Shappu: Cast and crew

Chemban Vinod will also play a major role in this film. The supporting cast of Pravinkoodu Shappu consists of Pratapan K S, Chandini Sreedharan, Shabreesh Verma, Niyas Bakker, Revathi, Vijo Amaravathi, Ramkumar, Sandeep, and Sivajith Padmanabhan. The movie was reportedly shot at several sites in Thrissur and Ernakulam, according to sources. Sreeraj Sreenivasan makes his directorial debut with this movie.

The director of photography for the movie is Shyju Khalid. The original music and score for the film were composed by Vishnu Vijay, who is well-known for his compositions in films like Falimy and Thallumala. Shafeeq Muhammad Ali is the editor. Mu.Ri wrote the lyrics for the soundtracks. The executive producer is A R Ansar. The movie is slated for release by A&A Entertainment.

Soubin Shahir played significant roles in the films Manjummel Boys and Nadikar, which starred Tovino Thomas in the lead role, this year. Basil Joseph made appearances in the films Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, Nunakuzhi, and Varshangalkku Shesham. Ponman and Sookshmadarshini are two of his forthcoming flicks.
