Prasanth Varma addresses HanuMan OTT release delay, promises an update soon
Amid a slew of questions surrounding the OTT release date for HanuMan, director Prasanth Varma addressed the matter.

Filmmaker Prasanth Varma's HanuMan became one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Telugu cinema. And its phenomenal theatrical performance has created quite an anticipation for its upcoming OTT release. However, the film has, for some reason, stayed off streaming platforms longer than expected.

Amid a slew of questions surrounding the film's streaming debut, Prasanth Varma took to Twitter on Monday to address the matter, hinting at an impending official confirmation regarding the OTT release date for HanuMan. He tweeted, "#HanuMan OTT streaming date announcement is coming!"

Prasanth's update comes days after the film failed to arrive on streaming as expected. HanuMan was expeced to debut on ZEE5 on March 8 . However, the said date came and went, with the superhero film nowhere to be seen. This has caused a lot of disappointment among fans who are eagerly waiting to watch the movies on streaming.
According to industry sources, HanuMan will become available for streaming on March 16. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited.
As per reports, all the South Indian versions of the movie will be available on ZEE5, while the film's Hindi version will find its home on JioCinema.

The origin of HanuMan
HanuMan marks the first entry into a superhero movieverse that Prasanth aims to create. Drawing inspiration from Indian mythologies, the director crafts stories set in contemporary settings.
HanuMan follows a selfish and very irresponsible youngster in a fictional hamlet called Anjanadri. His life dramatically changes when he accidentally comes into possession of an ancient gemstone, providing him a way to access the powers of Lord Hanuman. The rest of the story follows a familiar pattern of an origin story, with Hanumanthu (Teja Sajja) discovering his superpowers and learning ways to use them to assist those in need.
