Director Vineeth Sreenivasan's film, which has Nivin Pauly in a cameo role, is a friendship drama with cinema as a backdrop
Actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan is gearing up to begin the shooting of his fifth film as a director, Varshangalkku Shesham. This comes after he wrapped up a busy acting schedule. The latest from the film is that it is slated to go on floors on October 27 in Kochi. All the actors wrapped up a workshop for the film during the Onam holidays.
Varshangalkku Shesham is based in Chennai and has cinema as its backdrop
In an interview with OTTplay, Vineeth said that Varshangalkku Shesham will have cinema as its backdrop because the story takes place in Chennai , which was the centre of the South Indian film industry during the 1980s and 1990s. Interestingly, the film will not be shot in Chennai. In the same interview, the actor-director denied rumours about the film being a story about the heydays of Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Sreenivasan.
Vineeth, who has wrapped up the shoot of the family drama Oru Jaathi Oru Jaathakam, has taken a break from acting to direct Varshangalkku Shesham.
