Pramod is ready with his most commercial film yet, English Manja

The teaser of the film that dropped today on the actor’s birthday is quite action packed.

From the time Pramod announced his film English Manja, he has been very vocal about how special the project is to him. It is, after all, his first as an out-and-out commercial hero. “English Manja is a film I started soon after Rathnan Prapancha, which took us nearly 75 days to complete. It is very different from the films I have done so far, be it Premiere Padmini, Geetha Bangle Store or Udgharsha. It’s a big film for me, in terms of the scale of production. English Manja is special for me because this is my first outing in a title role. It is an out-and-out commercial action film with 4-5 major stunt sequences, songs, etc. and will give me a mass-hero image,” Pramod had told us some time ago.

Today, the team of the Arya Mahesh directorial released the teaser of the film, which provided glimpses of what is in store. Going by the visuals of the teaser, it appears the film is just as Pramod said, quite action packed. And yet, it also has a love story at its crux. According to the makers, English Manja is a film that revolves around a college student called Manjunath aka Manja, in a story laced with love, friendship, action and drama. “Manja is characterized by his struggle with learning English and his keen interest in the underworld,” Pramod added.

In the film, Pramod is paired with Thejaswini Sharma, while Lohithashwa will be seen in a pivotal role. Principal photography of the film was wrapped up in early November, following which Pramod began shooting for his next, Alankara Vidyarthi. The teaser of English Manja suggests that the film will release soon, although no date was announced.
