Prakashan Parakatte was one of the notable Malayalam releases that hit the screens in June, thanks to its cast. Mathew Thomas plays the lead in the family drama which also stars Dileesh Pothan, Saiju Kurup, Nisha Sarang and Sreejith Ravi among others in important roles.

Dhyan Sreenivasan is the script writer for the movie; in fact this was one of the reasons why the movie garnered good hype among film lovers in Kerala. The project directed by debutant filmmaker Shahad Nilambur was released in theatres on June 17. The film opened to mixed reviews among critics and the audience, and received lukewarm response at the box office.

What's Prakashan Parakkatte about?

The film revolves around a teenage boy who decides to leave his hometown to pursue his ambitions, but little did he know that his father would disagree with his plans. How the ambitious youngster convinces his conservative father against several odds forms the rest of the story.

Dhyan also appears in a cameo in the film, and one of his scenes, received flak for the insensitive portrayal of child abuse. Aju Varghese, one of the producers of the movie, is another actor who is seen in a guest role.
