Prakash Raj expresses anger and disappointment on ignoring Jai Bhim at National Awards 2023

Prakash Raj, who never hesitates to express his opinions, is at it again. He has taken to Twitter to lash out at those who have ignored Jai Bhim at National Awards 2023. Many movie buffs were disappointed with the jury for neglecting the movie which was helmed by TJ Gnanavel.

The film, which is based on a real-life incident, revolves around a lawyer who takes up a sensational case and saves a few underprivileged people from the clutches of the corrupted system. The social drama, starring Suriya, Manikandan, Lijomol Jose and Rao Ramesh opened to positive reviews soon after its direct-to-OTT release on Amazon Prime in 2021.

Prakash Raj, too, played the role of a cop in the movie which courted controversy for a scene involving the actor. He is now dejected with the film being totally ignored at the 69th National Awards. He has now posted his opinions in Tamil, Kannada and English.

His tweet read, "the ones who support murder of our Mahathma.. the ones who want to change Babasahebs Constitution.. will they CELEBRATE #JaiBhim ??? #justasking (sic)." He has also attached a Marathi poem which says 'Jai Bhim' means light, love, the journey from darkness to light and tears of billions of people'.

A few actors from Kollywood, too, had expressed their displeasure over Jai Bhim not receiving the deserved recognition. Nani from Tollywood, too, hit the headlines for posting an Insta story that mentioned the film's name along with a broken heart emoji.

The other day, Prakash was in the news when he posted a sarcastic comment on the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which he later claimed was meant to be a joke.
