Jathara is set to go on floors in August with a January 2024 release in sight.
Prajwal Devaraj has been busy putting together an exciting lineup of films which are to be released over the next few months. He has Lohith H.K's much-awaited film Mafia wherein he plays a gritty cop who is out there to apprehend a deadly nexus through his unconventional methods. Alongside, he has Hariprasad Jakka's directorial Gana wherein he shares the screen space with Yasha Shivakumar, Krishi Thapanda and others in what has been described as an action thriller.
Prajwal will also be seen playing a police officer in Meghana Raj Sarja's comeback film Tatsama Tadbhava, which is co-produced by close friend Pannaga Bharana.
And amid all the exciting work, the actor has announced a pan-Indian project with Telugu director Uday Nandanavanam. Titled Jathara, the film has been billed as a love story that's set against a 'rugged' backdrop which, reportedly, will be made on par with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kaithi, starring Karthi. Jathara's producer Govardhan Reddy, while speaking to a media outlet, described the film as a wholesome entertainer that has a story, nativity and all other necessary elements in place.
Jathara will be released with a pan-India status in five different languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. The film is set to go on floors in August with a January 2024 release in sight.
As far as director Uday Nandanavanam is concerned, the Telugu filmmaker looks to impress the Kannada audiences with his new endeavour. He has previously directed SPY and Karthikeya 2 actor Nikhil Siddhartha.
