Prabhu Deva's next, directed by debutant Anbu, has been titled Rekla

Ambeth Kumar of Olympia Movies is bankrolling the project

It was announced a few days ago that an update on Prabhu Deva's next project will be announced on January 26. Arya took to his social media page to make the announcement on the veteran actor-filmmaker-choreographer's 58th project. He also unveiled a one minute motion poster of the movie which has been titled Rekla.

He tweeted, "Here is the exciting title look motion poster of @PDdancing's 58th film #Rekla Congrats team (sic)." S Ambeth Kumar of Olympia Movies is producing the project which has music composed by Ghibran. An update on the film's cast and crew is expected to be out soon.

Though the makers have kept the details of the movie's genre under wraps, it looks like a village drama which revolves around the popular rekla race, going by the motion poster.The traditional sport, which is common in and around Coimbatore, takes place in order to rear bulls.

The first look and Prabhu Deva's appearance from the movie are eagerly awaited by movie buffs. It's been a while since he has played a character who hails from a village. It will be interesting to watch him portray a rural character after a long time.

Prabhu has been signing back to back movies as an actor in Kollywood. His last outing was Hari Kumar's Theal which had a theatrical release a couple of weeks ago. He has a slew of films in his kitty, among which a few of them are much-awaited ones.

Adhik Ravichandran's Bagheera, which was completed a while ago, is the most anticipated project of Prabhu. He plays a psycho in the movie and sports multiple looks for the first time in his career. Santhosh P Jayakumar's Poikkal Kudhirai and N Ragavan's My Dear Bootham are other films he is currently busy with.
