The actor's action movie will be clashing with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan's highly anticipated film Fighter, also featuring Deepika Paudone as the female lead.
Seems like the audience is going to be divided on this one.
On Independance Day, the director of Prabhas' upcoming action-packed film Salaar, Prashanth Neel, shared what fans of the film star have been waiting for a long time: its release date!
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Salaar is said to be Prabhas' most adventurous project till date and will see the movie star portraying his the wildest version of himself on screen. The poster of the same, which substantiates the aforementioned claims, was released on August 15 with a statement that gave away the details:
"'๐๐๐๐๐'๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐. #Salaar #TheEraOfSalaarBegins," read the tweet.
However, what has made the film's arrival to the theatres all the more interesting is the fact this pan-India flick, which is releasing in five languages, will be clashing at the box office with Bollywood superstars hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter.
Fighter was intially scheduled to release on Republic Day of 2023 but was later pushed back to the Gandhi Jayanti weekend of the same year. This film marks Hrithik Roshan's second collaboration with director Siddharth Anand, the first one being War (2019). Deepika Padukone, too, is also working with Siddharth Anand on a second project: the highly anticipated Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, which also features John Abraham in a pivotal role.
Hrithik Roshan, who recently landed in trouble with the trolls for supporting Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, has wrapped up the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha with alongside Saif Ali Khan. Prabhas has big-budget movies such as Salaar and Adipurush in his kitty.
Deepika Padukone and Prabhas will soon be seen together in Project K. There's also news of Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan coming together for Om Raut's next directorial venture.
