The pre-release event of Sita Ramam was a high-profile affair with the cast and crew expressing their confidence in the result
The grand pre-release event of the period romance, Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, was held in Hyderabad yesterday. The promotional event was graced by Radhe Shyam star Prabhas. Sita Ramam is produced by Ashwini Dutt under Swapna Cinema and presented under Vyjayanthi Movies. The banner is also backing Prabhas’ upcoming sci-fi tale Project K, helmed by Nag Ashwin.
The film is set to release amidst high expectations across three languages this weekend. Sumanth, Rashmika Mandanna, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Menon, Bhumika Chawla, Prakash Raj, Rukmini Vijaykumar and others too play important roles in it. The music by Vishal Chandrasekhar is already a rage with audiences and is a major reason behind the positive buzz for the film.
At the pre-release event of Sita Ramam, Prabhas said he liked the film’s trailer and called Dulquer a handsome hero while appreciating Mrunal’s beauty. He stated that one needs a passionate producer like Swapna Dutt to back a love story. He expressed his interest to see Sumanth’s role in the film. The star opined that Telugu cinema should be lucky to have producers like Ashwini Dutt as a guiding force.
Prabhas felt that Sita Ramam is a film which should strictly be watched on the big screen. “We don't stop going to a temple because there is God in our pooja room. Theatres are the temples of our industry. You need to watch the film on the big screen for sure," he said. Dulquer Salmaan thanked Prabhas for his presence at the event and named Sita Ramam a great journey.
“Ashwini Dutt has given me a lot of love during the making of Mahanati and Sita Ramam. I thank Hanu Raghavapudi for making me a part of his dream. This is a special film and Mrunal Thakur has done her job to perfection. Sumanth is like a big brother and his role, Vishnu Sharma, has shaped up very well. Tharun Bhascker brought a lot of energy to the sets with his presence.”
Project K director Nag Ashwin said he watched Andala Rakshasi in theatres during his assistant director days along with Sekhar Kammula. The former named Hanu Raghavapudi an inspiration and said that he really liked how Sita Ramam was shoot. Dulquer has performed very well, he’ll make the audiences laugh and cry. It’s our pleasure to introduce Mrunal Thakur to Telugu cinema.” He hinted that Project K release date announcement may not be out anytime soon.
