Telugu superstar Prabhas' upcoming movie Salaar enjoys unprecedented hype, not just in South India, but across the country. Fans have been closely monitoring every development in connection with the movie. And no detail about the movie seems to be small enough to escape the attention of die-hard fans of Prabhas.

For some unknown reason, the filmmakers have updated the teaser on YouTube. And the fans were quick to spot the difference between the old and new versions.

For example, in the original teaser at the 0.39-second mark, there were visuals of a gang of sword-wielding hooligans giving a battle cry, with one mounted on a white horse. In the new teaser, that moment has been replaced with visuals of gun-wielding men trotting about in a battle formation.

And also the filmmakers seem to have changed the colour palette of the movie. In the new teaser, the movie looks several shades lighter in comparison to its earlier version.

In the older version, director Prashanth Neel had doubled down on the dark hues, making the movie look visually grimmer. Enveloped in coal dust and populated with men mostly dressed in black outfits, the teaser promised a dark visual experience, akin to the KGF series.

It's unclear what inspired Prashanth Neel to revise the movie's colour palette and make it a bit lighter.

Salaar vs Dunki at box office

Salaar is now in post-production. The movie was earlier supposed to be released in cinemas on September 28. However, the filmmakers postponed the release citing post-production reasons. This delay left ripples of frustration throughout the Indian film industry, as several filmmakers deferred their movie releases to avoid box office clashes with Salaar. The change in the movie's release date has further disrupted the plans of other movies awaiting to make their theatrical debut.

Salaar is now due to arrive in cinemas on December 22 along with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited movie Dunki . And the trade is not very happy about this epic box office clash.
