We had earlier reported that Pradeep Ranganathan will be starring in debutant filmmaker Keerthiswaran’s film, which is tentatively titled PR 04. The film’s new announcement is set to hit on Thursday. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers as their second outing in Tamil after the upcoming Good Bad Ugly. Even before the release of PR 04, the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been sold. Here is where you can stream it post-theatrical run.
Pradeep Ranganathan has become a popular name in Tamil cinema after delivering two back-to-back successes - Love Today and Dragon. While the actor-filmmaker will next star in Love Insurance Kompany, Pradeep has announced a new project with debutant Keerthiswaran, a former assistant of Sudha Kongara.
While announcing the film, the poster revealed that Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. With Pradeep, now being an established star, who has secured successes with Love Today and Dragon, Netflix has bagged yet another Pradeep film with PR 04.
Composer Sai Abhyankkar, who has given hit singles like Katchi Sera, Aasa Kooda and Sithiri Puthiri, will be scoring the music. Mamitha Baiju, who shot to fame with Premalu and is also acting in Jana Nayagan, will be playing the female lead in PR 04. Besides Pradeep and Mamitha, the film will also feature Hridhu Haroom, Sarathkumar and others. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Pradeep Ranganathan has starred in two films Dragon and Love Today, both of which are blockbuster successes at the box office. The films are bankrolled by AGS Entertainment and are available on Netflix for streaming.
Love Today, directed by Pradeep himself, is a romantic comedy drama starring Sathyaraj, Ivana and others. The film revolves around a young couple who are asked to exchange their phones by the girl’s father. The film was recently remade in Hindi as Loveyapa.
Dragon, written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, is about a studious boy who turns into a brat once he enters college. After many arrears and being a jobless man, he fakes his certificates to get into a high-paying job, only for his past to come back haunting him.
