Post Akhil's Agent, Surender Redd joins hands with a young hero

Surender Reddy entered the top league when he got the opportunity of directing megastar Chiranjeevi for Sye Raa. The film was a big hit and proved Surender Reddy can direct a big star with ease. Post Sye Raa, Surender Reddy joined hands with young hero Akhil Akkineni for Agent and took over two years to wrap up the film.

But sadly, Agent flopped at the box office and Surender Reddy is facing severe criticism for wasting the time and money of the producer Anil Sunkara who spent over Rs 80 crores on the action drama. More than anything, Akhil worked so hard on his body for two years but his role and performance were trolled big time after the release. The young hero is nowhere to be seen in the media.

On the other hand, there was news that Surender Reddy had met Allu Arjun for a project and things will materialize soon. But now, the said project has been called off and instead, Surender Reddy will be making a film with a relatively young hero Vaisshnav Tej who made his debut with the hit film Uppena. Surender Reddy is known to showcase heroes in a stylish manner and we need to see how he will show Vaisshnav in his next.

The word is that he has also penned the script of this film and will co-produce the project on a very medium budget. For now, he is busy finding a producer who can join hands with him. On the other hand, Vaisshnav Tej is ready with his new film Aadikesha which is being directed by Rudra Reddy. The teaser of the film was appreciated and this is the first time that Tej will be seen in a mass avatar.
