Porattu Nadakam: The teaser depicts a satirical tale about conflicting views in a family

Porattu Nadakam - Sources claim that the film is touted to be a light-hearted reflection on contemporary events in Kerala. This latest video also offers a satirical perspective on opposing ideologies.

The makers of Saiju Kurup’s upcoming Malayalam film, Porattu Nadakam, dropped its official teaser today (July 27). Sources claim that the film is positioned as a light-hearted reflection on significant social and contemporary events in Kerala. This latest video also offers a satirical perspective on opposing ideologies. It will hit the big screen on August 9.

Similar to the previous teaser, the latest clip does not reveal too much about the movie's characters or plot. It does, however, allude to a satirical story about divergent political opinions within a family. In the upcoming days, a trailer with additional details about the story and characters is anticipated.

The makers recently released the film’s first song, titled, Nazhoori Paalu which is composed by Rahul Raj. The song is easy to listen to, but it has Saiju Kurup's character's oddball antics as he goes about tending to a cow. However, it is unclear why this is the case. A glimpse of Dharmajan Bolgatty and Rahul Madhav's characters can also be seen in the music video.

All about Saiju Kurup’s Porattu Nadakam

Porattu Nadakam is based on a sequence of events that take place over the course of 21 days in the northern village of Gopalapuram in the state. The creators claim that satire is present in most of the film's elements. The film, which takes its name from a popular folk-art form from Palakkad, is being directed by Naushad Saffron. Other main actors in this film are Dharmajan Bolgatty, Ramesh Pisharody, Rahul Madhav, Nirmal Palazhy, and Arjun Vijayan.

The family entertainer was filmed in Nileswaram and Kanhangad over the course of 30-day schedule. Rahul Raj wrote the songs, and Noushad Shereef handled the camera work. The supporting cast includes Aiswarya Mithu, Sooraj Thelakkad, Sunil Sukhada, and Chitra Shenoy. This movie's screenplay was written by Suneesh Varanad. In addition to Porattu Nadakam, this movie also features Kothammuriyattom, another folk-art form.
