Fans of Jayam Ravi, who are elated with the response the actor has been receiving for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, have one more reason to smile. It is heard that the OTT rights of the actor's forthcoming Iraivan has been locked. Ahmed is at the helm of the project which has Nayanthara joining hands with Ravi after Thani Oruvan.

According to a reliable source, the team is in talks with Zee5 and it is heard that the two parties are likely to sign the deal for a record price in the star's career. This is the second collaboration of the actor-director duo after Jana Gana Mana, a big budget spy thriller which is yet to hit the screens.

The digital rights of Ponniyin Selvan is with Amazon Prime Video and it is expected that the blockbuster project will drop on the platform in the first week of November. The movie is Ravi's first theatrical release in the post pandemic era.

Though Kalyana Krishna's Agilan was supposed to hit the screens in September, its release got postponed owing to reasons best known to the team. It has to be seen if the action thriller set in the backdrop of a harbour will be released later this year.

The actor has a couple of more films in his kitty. Rajesh's JR 30 (tentative title) and Antony Bhagyaraj's Siren are two of his movies which went on floors recently. The former stars Priyanka Mohan as the female lead while the latter has Keerthy Suresh paired opposite him.

The star, who has been garnering positive response for the portrayal of Arunmozhi Varman in Ponniyin Selvan, is expected to have more screen space in the second installment of the franchise.
