Trisha and Ravi
After participating in the press meets which were held in Chennai and Coimbatore, the principal cast of Ponniyin Selvan 2 landed at Delhi yesterday. A few pics of Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sobhita Dhulipala did the rounds on social media from the promotional activities.
They interacted with the media at Shri Ram College of Commerce in the capital city. One of them among the press was curious to know about the Twitter handles of Trisha and Jayam Ravi losing the prestigious blue check.
Trisha said that all the cast in the movie were supposed to change their handle names to their respective characters they play in Ponniyin Selvan. However, she and Ravi were the first ones to change it, thanks to their "over enthusiasm". But little did they expect that they would have to pay the price for it. She also added that the team is working on it.
When Ravi was asked about the same, a reporter addressed him as "Jayaram". However, Vikram was quick to point out that he is Jayam Ravi. The actor, who plays Arunmozhi Varman in the magnum opus, said he was too obsessed with his character that he was keen to change the name to the celebrated role which landed him in soup.
Later, Vikram made a request to the press which left many stunned. He said that it would be great if they could sort out the issue faced by Trisha and Ravi pertaining to their Twitter accounts.
Trisha, who plays Kundavai in the film, further revealed that they tried to purchase the blue check, but in vain. Apparently, the app accused their accounts for having indulged in suspicious activities.
