Polimera featuring Satyam Rajesh skipped its theatrical release and premiered on Hotstar. The dark thriller was a smash hit on OTT and with high confidence, the makers announced its sequel, Ma Oori Polimera 2. This time, the makers chose a theatrical release for the sequel and released the film on November 3, 2023.

Right from the day of its release, Polimera 2 has only been appreciated by one and all. The collections are solid and the film is still drawing the audience in its second week, which is rare for a small film with no star value. As per the update, Polimera 2 has made a whopping Rs 20 crore gross to date.

The dark thriller had to make Rs 3.5 crore to be in the safe zone but the film has happily crossed Rs 10 crore at the box office. Polimera was released on Hotstar but the OTT deal of Polimera 2 is yet to be locked. There is a strong chance of Hotstar bagging the rights to the sequel as well.

We have come to know that the makers are expecting big money for the OTT rights and that is why the negotiations are yet to be locked. A few other OTT platforms have also joined the race and we need to see who will bag the rights to this thriller, which has been directed by Dr. Anil Vishwanath.

The makers also left a small hint for Polimera 3 at the end of the second part and this has made the fans of this franchise super excited. Polimera 1 and 2 deal with the concept of black magic and were made on a very low budget. All the parties involved are seeing double the profits.
