Polimera featuring Satyam Rajesh skipped its theatrical release and was released on Disney Plus Hostar in 2022. For its sequel, the makers chose a theatrical release on November 3, 2023. The dark thriller has shocked everyone as it made big money on day one worldwide.
The day one numbers are out and Polimera 2 has made a whopping ₹ 3 crore gross worldwide which is very impressive. Even the trade pundits are shocked as Polimera 2 did not even get proper theatres on day one. But still, the openings have been quite good.

Directed by Dr. Anil Vishwanath, Polimera 2 has started with a very positive word of mouth. As it does not have much competition in Telugu, the trade is expecting good collections over the weekend. The occupancy for Polimera 2 in the A centers is quite impressive as the afternoon shows are seeing close to 80% occupancy in cities like Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
Polimera 2 was made on a very low budget and did not have any popular face in the lead. The distributors are quite happy and multiple screens have been increased in Telugu states from day two. The dark thriller also has Baladitya in a key role.
In the US, the film has taken a slow start but the makers feel that in the days to come, the occupancy will surely go up. Hotstar bagged the rights to Polimera and there is news that the makers are demanding big money for the sequel. In a day or two, the OTT rights of the film will also be locked.
Satyam Rajesh plays a dark role in the film which deals with black magic. His performance, in particular, has been appreciated a lot. Very soon, the team of Polimera 2 will visit the theatres to promote the film. Watch this space for more updates.
