It has been reported that Anirban Bhattacharya will team up with Soukarya Ghoshal for a sequel of Rainbow Jelly. The film will also have Mahabrata Basu as Ghoton who impressed the audience with his performance in the first film. Now the motion picture of the sequel, Pokkhirajer Dim, was dropped on Friday. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Shrikant Mohta, and Mahendra Soni, this collaboration between Jio Studios and SVF Entertainment will go on the floors in September.
Embarking upon the dreamy realm of Ghoton, a familiar figure from a previous rendezvous in Rainbow Jelly, whose existence once revolved around food fantasy, now stands prepared to get into yet another journey of existence. Along with Mahabrata, Anumegha Banerjee, aka Poppins, will also be a part of it. Shyamal Chakraborty, who played an important character in Ballabhpurer Roopkotha, will also act here with Anirban.
The story will delve into a place Akashgunj, the narrative interlaces the allure of rural Bengal with mystery and bravery. This chronicle transports one to a sequestered village, wherein the heart of the woodland lies in an abandoned temple, cradling celestial enigmas within its timeworn stone.
Ghoton, an exceptional yet determined student, battles challenges at Akashgunj High School. His encounter with a mind-bending stone (Pokkhirajer Dim) from the temple sets off a chain of events involving his quirky maths teacher, Batabyal, and his friend, Poppins.
