Prime Video has launched the Amazon Original crime series Poacher. QC Entertainment, the Oscar-winning production and finance business behind films including Get Out by Jordan Peele and BlacKkKlansman by Spike Lee, will be producing this series for the first time. Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Roshan Mathew, and Nimisha Sajayan are among the outstanding actors in the series Poacher that Emmy-winning director Richie Mehta produced, wrote, and directed. The 2023 Sundance Film Festival hosted the series' premiere, and the first three episodes were well-received by audiences. Poacher will have its exclusive premiere on Prime Video on February 23.

Plot and setting of Poacher

The incidents depicted in Poacher a fictitious dramatisation based on testimonials and court documents, took place in the deep woods of Delhi and Kerala, respectively. The series highlights the heroic efforts of Indian forest service personnel, Wildlife Trust of India NGO workers, police constables, and kind-hearted individuals who put themselves in harm's way to uncover the biggest ivory poaching network in India's history. Poacher unfolds primarily in Malayalam, Hindi, and English and captures real-life locations in Kerala and New Delhi to maintain the story's authenticity.
