Phone Bhoot trailer: Katrina Kaif is a Bhootni in business with ‘ghostbusters’ Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan Khattar

As promised, the makers have finally unveiled the trailer of Phone Bhoot. The trailer gives a glimpse of the quirky story that the horror comedy is centred around, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khattar as clueless ‘ghostbusters’, and Katrina Kaif as a beautiful Bhootni going into business with the two.

The trailer starts off on a chilling note, where viewers get to witness Sheeba Chaddha in a scary avatar as a ghost. But the chills soon give way to laughter, as Siddhant and Ishaan make their goofy entry, ramming the ghost over with their car. It is obvious that the duo are far from the brightest bulbs in the lot, but their lives take a turn for the better when a bright, bubbly ghost makes their acquaintance. The Bhootni proposes a lucrative business plan, and the trio set up a business of offering ghost catching services to those in need.

The Bhootni also has a higher purpose in mind, as she wants to help lost ghosts move on and defeat an evil man named Aatmaram, played by Jackie Shroff.

The trailer of the film was launched on Monday at an event in Mumbai, which was attended by Katrina, Siddhant and Ishaan. Katrina essays the role of a host for the first time in her career, in the film. In addition to Katrina, Sheeba, Siddhant, Ishaan and Jackie, the upcoming film also features Nidhi Bisht, Manu Rishi Chadha ,Kedar Shankar, Manuj Sharma , Shrikant Verma and Surendra Thakur in pivotal roles as well.

The horror comedy is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, from a script written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath. Phone Bhoot is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.

Phone Bhoot will be released in theatres on November 4.
