The film, which is among the few anthologies in Kannada, consists of five different stories with a common theme. It will be available to stream in Hindi as Pentagon - Panch Ka Dum on Dollywood Play and OTTplay Premium starting October 14.
About Pentagon - Panch Ka Dum
The anthology is divided into 5 parts: Mr Goofy's Café, Mysore Pak, Kamaturam Na Bhayam Na Lajja, Doni Saagali Munde Hogali, and Karma. Each is helmed by a different director and has different actors.
Mr Goofy's Café is directed by Chandra Mohan and stars Pramod Shetty.
Mysore Pak is directed by Akash Srivatsa and stars Vijanath Biradar.
Kamaturam Na Bhayam Na Lajja by Raghu Shivamogga and has Prakash Belawadi, Sagar, and Tanisha Kuppanda.
Director Kiran Kumar's Doni Saagali Munde Hogali stars P Ravi Shankar and Prithika Deshpande.
Finally, Karma by director Guru Deshpande stars Kishore and Pruthvi Ambaar.
How was the film received?
Pentagon received largely positive reviews upon its release in April 2023. Critics called the film worth watching because of the different themes explored in the anthology and the many takeaways for viewers.
OTTplay gave the film a 3/5 rating, calling it "an engaging anthology feature".
