Payal Rajput, Sunny Leone on board for Vishnu Manchu's Gali Nageshwara Rao

The makers of the film have adopted a unique strategy to introduce its lead characters

Actor, producer Vishnu Manchu, the president of the Telugu actors body MAA, is back in the news for his films. Vishnu Manchu, who last acted in Mosagallu in 2021 and even produced his father's recent release Son of India, has begun working on his next, Gali Nageshwara Rao. The film where he plays the title character was officially announced recently and the team has now confirmed that Payal Rajput will play the female lead. The icing on the cake is the casting of Sunny Leone in a crucial role.

In their bid to introduce the characters in the film to audiences, the team is releasing a few sketches of the characters on Instagram. While Vishnu Manchu as Gali Nageshwara Rao is portrayed as a local DJ, the character Swathi, essayed by Payal Rajput, is depicted as a dreamer of sorts who believes in the power of true love. The character of Renuka, for which Sunny Leone is cast, is introduced as a young girl walking in an idyllic street filled with a lot of greenery.

Sunny Leone had also acted alongside Vishnu Manchu's brother Manoj for a film titled Current Theega in the past as well. Kona Venkat has penned the story, screenplay of Gali Nageshwara Rao and is also the film's creative producer. Chota K Naidu is on board as the cinematographer with Nandu penning the dialogues. Anup Rubens is coming up with the music score, songs and G Nageswara Reddy has written the basic plot of the film. Ishaan Surya is directing the project.
