The pre-release event of the actor's upcoming action entertainer Bheemla Nayak was held in the presence of cast, crew and huge crowds in Hyderabad
Bheemla Nayak, the Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum, featuring Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati, is hitting theatres on February 25. The film has screenplay and dialogues by Trivikram and is directed by Saagar K Chandra and produced by S Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. The film's grand pre-release event was held at Yousufguda Police Grounds, Hyderabad on Wednesday, in the presence of the film's team, huge crowds and politicians, chief guests K T Rama Rao and Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
S Thaman was at his energetic best at the event, spearheading a group of musicians and singers who performed various songs in the film live at the venue. Besides, there were a series of dance performances that kept the audiences engaged. Unlike most pre-release events where the focus is mostly on the hero, the onus was on the music of Bheemla Nayak this time and Pawan Kalyan, at his dignified best, underplayed his presence, letting the crew take centrestage.
The likes of drummer Shivamani, Padmashri award-winning musician Mogalaiah, Sri Krishna, Durgavva, Arun Koundinya, Sahiti Chaganti, Ram Miriyala were present at the pre-release event. At one point over the night, Shivamani even invited Pawan Kalyan and the chief guest K T Rama Rao onto the stage and asked them to play the drums. The audiences were quite reeieved to see a new, better power-packed release trailer being launched, which many believe has set the record straight after an underwhelming first trailer.
Samyuktha Menon, who makes her Telugu debut with Bheemla Nayak, called the opportunity to work with Rana Daggubati and Pawan Kalyan a dream come true and considered the film to be a rebirth of sorts for her career. The actress said that it was a big deal for a girl hailing from a small village in Kerala to bag such a huge project and told she was keen awaiting to hear the response for the film from audiences.
Rana Daggubati, reprising the role of Koshy Kurian played by Prithviraj in the original, said that he looked up to Pawan Kalyan to understand how should a quintessential hero look/behave like. Despite working with major stars in the country, he felt that Pawan Kalyan belonged to a different league and he learnt a lot from him. "The project wouldn't have been possible without Trivikram and the producers had approached me first before anyone for the remake," Rana said.
Pawan Kalyan added that he was indebted to fans for showering so much love upon him and it was this unconditional love that sowed the seed in him to give back to the society in some form. He labelled Bheemla Nayak a face-off between ego and self-respect revolving around a privileged, well-connected man and an honest police officer. The star had a word of praise for good friend Trivikram for adapting Ayyappanum Koshiyum for Telugu audiences and appreciated his co-stars, crew and musicians for their commendable efforts.
Lyricists Kasarla Shyam, Ramajogaiah Sastry, dance master Ganesh, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, fight master Vijay were among others who graced the event. Pawan Kalyan even went onto honour the entire crew that worked on Bheemla Nayak during the evening.
