Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan spent the Ugadi holiday on the sets of his elder brother Chiranjeevi's upcoming movie Vishwambhara. The producers unveiled a video giving a glimpse of Pawan's visit to the shooting location.

Trisha also shared pictures of herself flanked by Pawan and Chiranjeevi on the shooting spot. The trio was photographed standing under a giant statue of Lord Hanuman. "Ugadi Subhakankshalu," Trisha captioned.

Pawan and Chiranjeevi were also joined by their brother Nagendra Babu. During his visit, Pawan also sought blessings from Chiranjeevi as he prepared to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Chiranjeevi extended his support to Pawan and praised him for using his hard-earned money for the welfare of society.

Chiranjeevi also made a significant donation to Pawan's party, Janasena, which is touted to be one of the key regional players in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi and politics

It's worth noting that Chiranjeevi also had a successful stint in politics. In 2008, he launched his own political party, Praja Rajyam Party, and contested elections. He later merged his party with the Congress and served as a central minister under the then-Manmohan Singh government. However, after the 2014 general elections, he withdrew from active politics and stayed away from electioneering since.

After a decade-long hiatus owing to his political commitments, Chiranjeevi made his big-screen comeback in 2017 with Khaidi No. 150, the Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kaththi, and quickly regained his formidable status at the box office.

Chiranjeevi was recently honoured with the Padma Vibhushan award, making him only the second member of the Telugu film fraternity to receive the country's second-highest civilian award.

On the career front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in Bhola Shankar. He is now busy shooting for the mythological drama Vishwambhara, which is written and directed by Mallidi Vassishta. The film is expected to hit screens during the next Sankranti holiday.
