Shaheer Sheikh is currently garnering appreciation and positive feedback for his portrayal of Manav in the popular TV soap drama, Pavitra Rishta 2. The actor shares his experience on working in the new version of the TV series and how big an achievement it is for him.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Shaheer Sheikh feels grateful for the multitude of positive feedback he has been receiving for his portrayal of the character. He believed that his approach towards playing the character should be simple and OG, since the fictional character was so, in the series. He expressed his gratitude towards Ankita Lokhande and Usha Nadkarni, the two stars who were a part of Pavitra Rishta, since its beginning. He felt confident when the stars approved of his portrayal of Manav from day 1, since they knew the character better.

Talking about the pressures he felt on stepping into the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s shoes, he mentioned that he tries to forget his surroundings, including himself while performing on screen, as it helped him while playing Manav. He also credited his team on the show, as they helped him feel at ease on sets, which made it easy for him to transform into his on-screen character. He also mentioned to the portal that one of the heartening feedbacks he received was from Ankita and Nandita Mehra, the director of the show, where they looked through the video playback of Shaheer playing Manav. He said, “They both looked at each other with surprise, and their explanation to me was, ‘You are looking Manav’, and that was a big relief for me. My moment of truth.”
