Pathu Thala: Makers share Gautham Karthik picture from the sets of the upcoming thriller

The film, directed by Obeli N. Krishna, also features Silambarasan and Priya Bhavani

Filming of the upcoming Silambarasan-Gautham Karthik starrer, Pathu Thala is currently going on a full-swing. Touted to be the official remake of the Kannada blockbuster neo-noir thriller Mufti, the Tamil version is helmed by Obeli N. Krishna. The makers Studio Green took to social media to share a snap of the Kadal star who is currently filming in Visakhapatnam.

The team of Pathu Thala tweeted that they are currently shooting at Visakhapatnam. Gautham Karthik also took to social media and posted the same snap and captioned it: “Hello Vizag” along with the #Pathu Thala accompanied by the upbeat track Adventure of a lifetime of Coldplay.

Talking about Pathu Thala, Silambarasan will reportedly portray the role of a gangster whilst Gautham Karthik plays a police officer, the former’s nemesis. Priya Bhavani Shankar is starring as the leading lady of the upcoming neo-noir action thriller. The music is by Isai Puyal AR Rahman.

Meanwhile, the Kannada film Mufti starred Shiva Rajkumar and Srimurali in lead roles along with Shanvi Srivastava as the latter’s lady love. Helmed by the debutant filmmaker Narthan and backed by Jayanna Films, Mufti revolved around the life of a ruthless don who works towards the welfare of villagers.
