Shah Rukh Khan waves his fans outside 'Mannat' to celebrate the world TV premiere of his film 'Pathaan'.
‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan Meri Jaan Mehfil Hi Lutt Jaaye...’ Remember the title track of the film Pathaan? Well, this song was being sung in full swing by fans just outside the residence of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan today evening. Thousands of people gathered near Mannat along with placards and posters and thanked 57-year-old for the action thriller.
But one may wonder if there is any special occasion today, following which this development is taking place? The answer is yes. It is revealed today that Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Raj Films' highest-grossing film Pathaan is all set to have its world television premiere on Sunday June 18. For this reason, fans decided to gather outside Mannat to create a Guinness World Record for most people performing SRK's iconic pose.
Shah Rukh Khan chose to wear a simple D'YAVOL X white jacket with light blue jeans. To keep it cool in summer, the King Khan of Bollywood aced his look by wearing black sunglasses and flashing his million-dollar smile.
Earlier in the day, news agency Press Trust of India reported that this action thriller will be released in 3000 plus screens across Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). “@yrf’s historic blockbuster #Pathaan creates another record – gets widest release for an Indian film in dubbed version across Russia & CIS! It will be released on July 13 in this region across 3000+ screens,” the press note read.
About Pathaan
The movie, which hit Indian theatres on January 25 this year, is directed by Siddharth Anand and also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. In the film, Pathaan (Khan), a RAW agent, works with ISI agent Rubina Mohsin (Padukone) to diminish the powers of Jim (Abraham), a former RAW agent, who plans to wipe off India from the world map for reasons best known to him.
The film also has a special cameo by Salman Khan who comes to save Shah Rukh Khan when the latter lands in trouble. This iconic scene, that last for about 10 minutes, continues to win hearts of people on the internet.
