Pathaan: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone pose for selfies with fans while shooting for action film in Spain

Pathaan will release in cinemas in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 23 next year.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will once again share screen space in Siddharth Anand's action film Pathaan. The duo were shooting for the film in Spain and took some time out from their schedules to take pictures with ardent fans.

The pictures are now circulating on the internet, and only increasing the hype around the actioner that also stars John Abraham in a pivotal role.

Recently, Khan's chiselled, long-haired look from Pathaan was all that fans could excitedly discuss on the internet. The last time Khan had a buffed look was in Om Shanti Om which coincidentally is Padukone's feature debut.

Pathaan is a big project because it marks King Khan's return to the screen after four long years. Touted as "a high-octane spy thriller" from producers Yash Raj Films, it is set to release in cinemas in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 23 next year.

The photographs with fans feature Khan with long tresses, casually clad in a blue shirt and sunglasses. Meanwhile, Padukone is seen in a leather jacket with chic gold jewellery and bright red lipstick.

Hindustan Times reports that Khan has returned to India from Spain, and was spotted at the Mumbai airport last night.

Anand, in a statement, spoke about the experience of filming in Spain with his lead stars: "The Spain schedule of Pathaan has turned out beyond what we had envisaged and we are absolutely thrilled about it! This is a film that commands massive scale and I'm very happy with what we achieved! This is going to be a visual treat for the audiences. The fact that we could finally pull off such a magnificent Spain schedule without any hassle whatsoever is a huge feat for the entire production."
