Pathaan is set for its theatrical release on January 25, 2023.
A wait of four years is nearing its end in almost eight days. Yes, Pathaan is set to hit theatres on January 25, 2023, and Shah Rukh Khan fans all over the world are keeping their cool. Deepika Padukone plays the female lead, and John Abraham is the main bad guy in the Siddharth Anand film. Now, as per the latest reports, it's being revealed that Pathaan is set for its OTT release in April after its theatrical run. To be precise, the film will stream on Prime Video, on March 22, 2023.
Earlier, a tweet by Bar & Bench read, "The court, therefore, directed the producers to submit the close-captioning, subtitles, and audio description to CBFC for the movie's OTT release by February 20. The CBFC will take a decision on the same by March 10. The movie is set to release on Prime Video on April 25 (sic)."
This is Khan's first leading role since Zero (2018), and it is the fourth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. On January 25, 2023, the IMAX version of Pathaan and dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu will come out in India. This date coincides with the weekend festivities commemorating Republic Day.
In the film, an exiled RAW field officer named Pathaan (Shah Rukh) has been tasked with dismantling a private terrorist organisation known as "Outfit X," which is making preparations to launch large assaults in India.
The movie was shot in a number of different places all over the world, including India, Afghanistan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, Italy, and France.
Since its release on January 25, Pathaan has witnessed a stellar box office run. The advance bookings of the film ran to more than Rs 30 crore, making it the biggest original Hindi film in terms of advance booking collections. On the third day of its theatrical run, the film had already grossed over Rs 160 crore in earnings.
Vishal–Sheykhar is responsible for the composition of the film's music, while Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara are responsible for the background score.
This is the first time Siddharth Anand is directing Shah Rukh, and the film is produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner, Yash Raj Films.
