Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles.
Shah Rukh Khan fans have been marking their calendars for January 25 for quite a while now. The beloved actor’s upcoming film Pathaan, which marks his first big screen release in almost four years, is all set to take big screens by storm on that date and the hype is definitely palpable.
Ever since SRK’s chiselled first look from the film dropped last year, fans have been anxiously awaiting the Badshaah of Bollywood’s return with bated breath. Director Siddharth Anand is also well aware of just how hyped SRK’s big screen return is, and has taken special steps to ensure that the Badshaah gets the grand return he deserves.
Siddharth announced that Shah Rukh will refrain from making any promotions until Pathaan hits the big screen on January 25. He said ““Pathaan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the movies after 4 long years. He has had very limited exposure with people in these four years and the hunger to see him is at an all time high. It’s palpable and that’s what has contributed in a big way to the buzz that people are saying Pathaan has today”.
The director went on to speak about how loved SRK was, and how he hoped that Pathaan would be able to deliver on its promise of presenting a never before seen avatar of Shah Rukh on screens. Siddharth said that he wanted the euphoria surrounding SRK’s return to reach its epitome by January 25, which was why he decided to keep promotional activities at bay until after the film’s release. He also expressed gratitude towards audiences for their love, which made the team feel humbled.
Bankrolled under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Pathaan will be released in the languages of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in prominent roles.
