The movie, scripted by Abhilash Pillai, also has Indrajith Sukumaran in the lead
While the first poster of M Padmakumar’s upcoming film Pathaam Valavu had its two male leads – Indrajith Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu – as a cop and a prisoner, respectively, the second poster from the thriller revealed the family angle in the movie that drives its emotional core.
The second poster of the film, scripted by Abhilash Pillai, featured Aditi Ravi and Suraj, who play a couple in the movie. Their characters are named Seeta and Solomon, respectively. The movie is based on a real-life incident that happened in Kerala a few years ago.
Apart from Indrajith, Suraj and Aditi Ravi, the film also has Swasika, Aneesh G Menon, Sudheer Karamana, Major Ravi, Rajesh Sarma, Idavela Babu and Sohan Seenulal as part of the cast. The film will also see music director Ranjin Raj teaming up with Padmakumar after their successful collaboration in Joseph.
Pathaam Valavu is co-produced by UGM Productions’ Dr Zakariya Thomas, Sreejith Ramachandran, Jijo Kavanel and Prince Paul. It also marks the first Malayalam production of Bollywood firm Mumbai Movie Studios headed by Naveen Chandra and Nithin Keni who have backed movies such as AkshaY Kumar’s Rustom and Irrfan’s Lunchbox.
The shoot of Pathaam Valavu is currently progressing in Thodupuzha. While Shameer Muhammed serves as its editor, debutant Ratheesh Ram, who had worked as an associate of cinematographer Shajikumar, is cranking the camera.
Meanwhile, the film’s scriptwriter Abhilash has also written the script for Vysakh’s Night Drive, which again has Indrajith playing a cop. The movie’s shot wrapped up in Kochi a few weeks ago.
