Today, Parineeti Chopra took to social media and posted an extremely sweet and heartfelt birthday wish for the ‘birthday boy’ A R Rahman.

After posting this photograph, Parineeti Chopra wrote, “Happiest birthday, Rahman sir. Can’t wait for the world to hear the magic that you have created in #Chamkila. Miss my singing days at your studio”.

Speaking of Amar Singh Chamkila,, today also happens to be the birthday of Diljit Dosanjh, her co-star from the film. For him, Parineeti Chopra posted an unseen photograph of them together (presumably from the shooting of the film ‘Chamkila’). She captioned the post stating, ‘Mera yaara, mera pyaara, mera CHAMKILA! Happpy bday ji .. Wish you happiness and good health forever. I miss us singing together! And I cannot wait to show the world what we have created in #Chamkila. The MUSIC, the magic’.

As for the film Amar Singh Chamkila, it is being directed by the prolific filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and stars Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra as the leading pair. In a nutshell, the film’s premise deals with the untold but true story of Amar Singh Chamkila. For the unversed, Amar Singh Chamkila happens to be the first ever true blue rockstar from Punjab, but was unfortunately assassinated at a young age of just 27 years. The film ‘Chamkila’ is being readied to be premiered on Netflix this year.
