Actress Parineeti Chopra has ventured into a new realm by announcing her singing debut, expressing excitement about having the opportunity to pursue two careers simultaneously. On Thursday, she took to social media to share a video offering a glimpse behind the scenes of her recording in a studio.
The video concludes with the 'Ishaqzaade' star passionately singing 'Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi.' This particular song, sung by Parineeti, is from the 2017 romantic film 'Meri Pyaari Bindu,' in which she starred alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
Sharing the video, the actress renowned for her roles in 'Hasee Toh Phasee' wrote a heartfelt note, expressing how music has consistently been her sanctuary of joy.
On Instagram, Parineeti wrote, “Music, to me, has always been my happy place... I have watched countless musicians all over the world performing on the stage and now it’s finally my time to be a part of that world. I feel so lucky, blessed and stressed about starting off a whole new chapter in my life and I honestly can’t describe how excited I am to embark on this musical journey. A journey that gives me the opportunity to have two careers at once!”
Reacting to the post, famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra dropped a bunch of red heart emoticons in the comments section. Saba Pataudi – sister of actor Saif Ali Khan, commented, “Mahsha'Allah AMAZING.”
One fan of Parineeti Chopra commented, “When can we see you, Mannara and Priyanka together in a music video?” Another Instagrammer wrote, “Mannara sings well in Bigg Boss. You, Priyanka ji and Mannara should collaborate.”
One more social media user said, “The Chopra sister(s) sing so well.”

Parineeti previously lent her voice to the female rendition of the patriotic song ‘Teri Mitti,’ featuring in the 2019 war film ‘Kesari,’ where she starred alongside Akshay Kumar. Penned by Manoj Muntashir and composed by Arko, the song showcased her vocal prowess. The 35-year-old actress also has the unplugged track ‘Matlabi Yariyan’ in her musical repertoire, hailing from the mystery thriller film ‘The Girl on the Train’.
Furthermore, the actress, who tied the knot with AAP MP Raghav Chadha in September 2023, contributed her vocals to her wedding song ‘O Piya.’ On the cinematic front, her latest appearance was in ‘Mission Raniganj,’ and her upcoming project is the film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila.’
