About Param Sundari

Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, Param Sundari is a love story. It is about a North Indian man falling in love with a South Indian woman. The movie promises a heartwarming tale as the two strikingly opposite worlds come together and sparks fly. The story is set in Kerala and thus, the film's shooting has also commenced there itself. Param Sundari promises comedy in the midst of chaos with a tadka of surprise.

Dinesh Vijan's calls Param Sundari a tribute to Mani Ratnam

Dinesh Vijan had previous compared the movie to Mani Ratnam films, in particular Vivek Oberoi-Rani Mukerji's Saathiya. He told Variety that the conflict between Sidharth's North Indian boy meeting Janhvi's South Indian girl is 'very cool.' "It's like maybe taking Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon's film) forward - there's a high-tech idea in there. But we are going into the Kantara world of sorts - we are going a little more than that." His statement has left many curious to find out just what Param Sundari is planning and will eventually offer us, since both the movies enjoy a fandom of their own, and it can get a little tough to imagine them in a North Indian boy meets South Indian girl story.

Param Sundari will release in theatres on July 25. The movie releases after Janhvi's work in Devara - Part 1 and Sidharth Malhotra's Yodha.
