The trailer for Roshan Mathews and Darshana Rajendran's Malayalam film Paradise, directed by Prasanna Vithanage, is finally here. In the new trailer, Roshan and Darshan's characters are seen travelling to Sri Lanka to celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary. However, things go awry when a riot erupts, forcing the couple to go through unforeseen events due to the protests in the island country. This also puts their relationship to the test.

The trailer ends with Darshana making a lighthearted remark "Raavana should wake up from his slumber to save his Lanka." Overall, the trailer promises a compelling story that is based on real-life events. Interestingly, the trailer also shows the characters conversing in multiple languages, seamlessly switching between English and Malayalam, which makes the couple seem real.

Paradise bagged the Kim Jiseok Award for Best Film at Busan Film Festival

In 2023, Paradise was selected for the Busan Film Festival in the Kim Jiseok Award category. The film won the award. Expressing his joy after bagging the award, director Prasanna said, “After 28 years, it is ironic to receive this award named after the late Kim Jiseok. Kim was a dear friend to Asian filmmakers. Kim, I am honoured to take you to my home. I would like to thank you, my dear producer, Anto Chittilappilly and Newton Cinema, our presenter, Mani Ratnam, Madras Talkies, and the cast and crew of Paradise. This award belongs to you.” Additionally, Paradise was also screened in the South Asia Premiere at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in the ICONS: SOUTH ASIA section.
