Paradha teaser review
Anupama Parameswaran is at the top of her game following the super success of Tillu Square. Her modern avatar surprised everyone, and now she is back with yet another unique role in the film Paradha. A special highlight of Paradha is the inclusion of Malayalam actress Darshana Rajendran, who plays a key role in this social drama.
Directed by Praveen Kandregula, known for his OTT film Cinema Bandi, the teaser of Paradha was released today, January 22, and promises a fresh take compared to regular entertainers. The teaser opens with three women, Anupama Parameswaran, Sangitha, and Darshana embarking on a special journey. While Darshana is portrayed as a traveler, Anupama plays a burqa-clad woman with a mysterious backstory, arriving in the hills for a specific purpose.

The teaser then shifts to the friendship of the three women and delves into the serious theme of social injustice toward women. Anupama’s character is tied to a small village, and she is mostly seen covering her face. Director Praveen Kandregula has ensured that Anupama is presented in a completely new avatar for the first time in her career. Darshana, too, gets an author-backed role, while yesteryear actress Sangitha plays a strong supporting character.
What immediately grabs attention is the gritty visuals, elevated further by Gopi Sundar’s powerful background score. The latter part of the teaser introduces a mysterious group of women covering their faces, revealing a deep mystery involving the torture of women under the guise of tradition. The teaser makes a strong impression and hints that Paradha will be a thrilling suspense drama with a powerful message.
The film's script has been penned by Poojitha Sreekanti and Prahaas Boppudi, with lyrics by Vanamali. The cinematography by Mridul Suji Sen stands out, as the visuals are stunning and contribute significantly to the film’s tone. While the earlier teaser, which introduced the main characters, captured attention, this new teaser takes expectations to the next level.
With three talented artists in pivotal roles, Paradha is poised to start strong and bring content-rich cinema back to Telugu audiences, especially after a wave of commercial entertainers post-Sankranthi 2025. Produced on a grand scale by Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva, Paradha promises to be a standout film.
