Pankaj Tripathi was recently seen in a pivotal role in Kriti Sanon-starrer Mimi.
Audiences recognised the worth of Pankaj Tripathi as an actor right from the time he appeared in Anurag Kashyap's Gangs Of Wasseypur. From Bareilly Ki Barfi to Stree, the actor took up roles that could never disappoint his fans.
While Pankaj made a mark as Akhanand Tripathi in the web series Mirzapur, he has won the hearts of audiences with many projects that were directly released on OTT - be it Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Kaagaz or more recently, Mimi.
After many mind-blowing performances in these OTT releases, Pankaj became the 'uncrowned king of OTT'. The actor reacted to the same while talking to IANS.
He said it feels wonderful to be loved. "I'm thankful to all the viewers who decide whom to make the 'King' and 'Queen' from among us actors. We actors call such viewers the intelligent and thinking audience," the actor shared while stating that he's very thankful to these fans.
He stated that the actors feel humbled and thankful when the audiences talk about the craft, personalities and their preferences.
Pankaj is now awaiting the release of 83, in which he reprises the role of real-life Indian cricket coach PR Man Singh. The Kabir Khan directorial stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role as former Indian skipper Kapil Dev. Pankaj plays his coach in the film.
The actor will also play an important role in Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey. Details about his character and the release date for the film are still kept under the wraps.
