The film's poster
Bala Arun's Pandrikku Nandri Solli has been lying in the cans for sometime. Music director Ghibran had unveiled the movie's first look long ago. Nishanth, Vijay Sathya and Balaji Rathinam play lead roles in the film which is billed as a dark crime comedy. Chella, Baskar and Joe Malloori, too, play pivotal roles in it.
Pandrikku Nandri Solli is a phrase which became popular, thanks to the manner in which Vadivelu utters the dialogue in Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi (streaming on SonyLIV and YouTube). According to Bala, the movie will be on the lines of Nalan Kumarasamy's Soodhu Kavvum (streaming on Zee5) and Naveen's Moodar Koodam (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar).
What's Pandrikku Nandri Solli all about?
The film, which wrapped up its shooting more than a couple of years ago, revolves around a protagonist and his friends who set out to search for an unusual treasure and a huge sum of illegal money. The plot thickens when a few gangsters and cops go behind them.
Bala Aran had earlier said that all the central characters in the movie go after a unique pig statue which is believed to have some magical powers. Who among the cops, gangsters and set of friends will be lucky enough to enjoy the benefits of the pig statue forms the crux of the story.
