While content has been abundant with the bloom in OTT space after the world went into lockdowns due to the pandemic, the period has to be credited for the flourishing of the streaming space because the audience took refuge under that umbrella in the hope of a gateway to a better time. One show that helped them the most in India in the same is Panchayat. Starring Jitendra Kumar in the lead alongside Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav it soon became the most discussed and loved shows amid the pandemic. It turns out we now have the first look for Panchayat Season 3.

The show that delves with a slice-of-life plot set in a rural village in India, Panchayat has so part successfully enjoyed two very appreciated seasons on Amazon Prime Video. Turns out after a wait that seemed like ages, the makers are finally almost ready with the third season of the much-anticipated show. You ask how do we know? Well, Prime Video has now shared the first look of the new season and they are two very interesting stills.

The post that the streaming giant has posted sometime back has two stills from season 3 of Panchayat. The first still features Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek Tripathi. We can see him on his bike. Now what is peaking our curiosity is him travelling somewhere with his luggage and belongings. We are unsure if he is changing base from the office or whether this has to be a twist we are unprepared for. Some comments feel he gets transferred.

The second still is Durgesh Kumar as Bhushan with his partners looking into the camera with blank faces and some anger. The wall behind them has “thokar lagti hai to dard hota hain, tabhi manushya seekh pata hai,” written in Hindi. Both the stills have captured all our attention.

There is no release date attached to Panchayat Season 3 yet. The caption on the post reads, “We know the wait is unbearable, so we got you a lil something from the sets!”. However, we recently saw Neena Gupta sharing a wrap-up post from the sets of season 3 and this means the show is in the advanced stage of production. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
