Pallimani: Shweta Menon to play two avatars in Malayalam thriller

The movie will also mark the return of yesteryear actress Nithya Das to Mollywood

Shweta Menon could be hailed as one of the bravest actors of the Mollywood industry. She has been a fan of picking courageous and out-of-the-line roles, which has spurred discussions most of the time. Whether it be the erotic drama Rathinirvedam or the Biju Menon starrer Kalimannu she has perfected the roles in her own style, including shooting her real-life delivery for the latter.

According to latest reports, Shweta has roped in for another experimental role in thriller Pallimani helmed by popular art director Anil Kumbazha.

Anil recently shared an update about the movie with ETimes. Talking about Shweta, he said that her role will be one-of-a-kind, and something different from the ones she has ever done. He added that she will be playing two avatars in the film.

Besides Shweta playing the central role, the movie also has another curious factor to wait for- the return of yesteryear actress Nithya Das.

If the reports are to be believed, Pallimani is said to be a mystery thriller including the elements of horror. The plot revolves around the aftermath of a family getting stranded in an old church.

Scripted by K V Anil, the movie will also feature Kailas, Dinesh Panicker and Harikrishnan (Malarvadi Arts Club fame). The team is currently said to be on the pre-production stage and planning to kickstart the shoot on December 13.
