Director Maruthi's Pakka Commercial, which was supposed to release last year, got postponed owing to the pandemic. A while ago, makers had announced that the action comedy will have a theatrical release on July 1. They have now unveiled its two-and-a-half minute trailer.
Gopichand plays a crooked criminal lawyer in the film who doesn't follow ethics. However, his father, essayed by Sathyaraj, is a noble judge, who tries to change his son. The former's life witnesses a lot of unexpected changes when an actress (Raashi Khanna) joins as an assistant to him.
Pakka Commercial brings Gopichand and Raashi together for the third time after Jil (streaming on YouTube) and Oxygen (streaming on Jio Cinema). The film also marks the second collaboration of the actress with Maruthi and Sathyaraj after Prati Roju Pandage (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar).
Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh, Kiran Talasila and Saptagiri among others essay important characters in the project which is Gopi's third release during the pandemic era. Seetimaarr (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) and Aaradugula Bullet which were released last year are the other two movies.
Bunny Vass, Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati have jointly produced Pakka Commercial under UV Creations and GA2 Pictures, and its theatrical rights have been bagged by Allu Aravind. Jakes Bejoy has composed music for the movie which has cinematography handled by Karm Chawla and SB Uddhav in charge of editing.
The film is the first release for both Gopichand and Raashi Khanna this year. The latter has three more releases this year - Thank you in Telugu will hit the screens on July 8 - while Tamil films Thiruchitrambalam and Sardar are expected to release in July and October respectively.
