A still from Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku
The teaser of Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku has been unveiled by Karthi from his Twitter page. The one-minute teaser has Vikram Prabhu, who plays the protagonist in it, taking on a few baddies. The actor is reportedly playing a gangster in the film which revolves around gang wars and crimes that follow.
Billed as a dark crime drama, the movie has been directed by debutant Karrthik Adwait. Dinesh Kasi's fast-paced action choreography stands out in the teaser while Sridhar's cinematography and Sagar's intense background score complement the neatly cut teaser.
Karthi released the teaser on social media with the post, "Here’s a film to look forward to guys. Happy to present you all the edgy teaser of @iamvikramprabhu's #PaayumOliNeeYenakku (sic)." Sandalwood actor Dhananjaya, Vela Ramamoorthy and Vivek Prasanna play pivotal characters in the movie which has Vani Bhojan essaying the female lead.
Karrthik himself has produced the project under the banner of KMH Productions while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and PL Subenthar have handled editing and art direction respectively. Dilsuyan J has penned dialogues for Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku which has dance choreography by Dhastha and lyrics written by Karthik Netha.
The movie was announced more than a couple of years ago and its shooting was completed last year. It was cinematographer Sridhar, known for his works in Pariyerum Perumal and Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam, who had revealed about the film's completion.
Vikram Prabhu's last two releases, Pulikkuthi Pandi (streaming on Sun NXT) and Taanakkaran (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar), had skipped theatrical releases. His next theatrical release would be Mani Ratnam's much-awaited multi-starrer Ponniyin Selvan which is expected to hit the screens on September 30. The film's teaser is said to be out in the first week of July.
