Paatal Lok is back and Jaideep Ahlawat's Hathi Ram has a clear message to share. The inspector had killed Vishal Tyagi (played by Abhishek Banerjee) in the first season, but of course, it did not end there. With the teaser, Hathi Ram promises there's a lot more coming for Paatal Lok, and that it might not end at season 2 either. Here's the teaser...

Hathi Ram is seen in an elevator. He presses the P button (usually for Parking) and on his way down, he speaks of Paatal Lok with keede references.

What are the keede references?

Hathi Ram mentioned in the teaser that Paatal Lok has a lot of keede waiting to be killed. He even counted millions of keede. While this could be a sure-shot hint at Hathi Ram fighting more than one criminal in Paatal Lok season 2, speaking of millions could have another reference - that Paatal Lok will not stop at season 2.

Are more seasons of Paatal Lok confirmed?

Not so far. The makers have not spoken of Paatal Lok season 3 or even continuing the series after season 2. However, this teaser is surely a huge tease at the possibility of more actors joining the show with new seasons.

About Paatal Lok

Paatal Lok, produced by Anushka Sharma's Clean Slate Filmz, was about caste differences. The show was set in East Delhi (Jamnapaar). It was while solving a high-profile case that Hathi Ram got dragged into the realms of the underworld. Paatal Lok is inspired by Tarun Tejpal's novel, The Story of My Assassins (2010). The first season also starred Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag, Ishwak Singh and Swastika Mukherjee as pivotal characters. They are all likely to return in this season as well.

Paatal Lok season 2 will be available for streaming on Prime Video from January 17.
