Paatal Lok Season 2 plot
The trailer of the new season offers a tantalizing glimpse into an exciting crime thriller that pushes low-class inspector Hathi Ram Chaudhary into uncharted territory. Set against the backdrop of Nagaland, the trailer follows Hathi Ram as he teams up with his trusted aide, Imran Ansari, in his relentless pursuit of truth to fight systemic forces and social evils.
Hathi Ram is given the task of investigating the disappearance of a migrant worker tied to a dangerous drug syndicate. He is forced to navigate a maze of secrets while battling his own personal demons.
Paatal Lok Season 2 cast and crew
The new season will see the return of the OG cast - Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathi Ram Chaudhary, Abhishek Banerjee as Vishal, Ishwak Singh as Imran Ansari, Gul Panag as Renu Chaudhary, Neeraj Kabi as Sanjeev Mehra, and Swastika Mukherjee as Dolly Mehra.
Speaking about reprising Hathi Ram Chaudhary's role, Jaideep told The Times of India, “Hathiram felt liberated by the end of season 1, he didn’t have to prove himself in front of his wife or son or colleagues. He’s more calm now and has accepted the situation. Also, it wasn't difficult to go back to Hathiram as it’s a role that is very close to me, and I had a lot of memorable time with it and revisiting it was like going back home."
The cast also features new cast members such as Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Barua. The eight-episode series is created and executive-produced by Sudip Sharma.
