Josh Brolin’s upcoming series, Outer Range, is counting down the days until its release. A teaser for the same was unveiled recently, hinting at a dark and mysterious tale.
In the trailer, Brolin’s character is seen making an unusual and grim kind of prayer. He is seen asking God for a hint as to his plans, and the prayer quickly takes an accusatory tone as Brolin asks God to ‘explain himself’. The short teaser also features a host of unsettling and surreal imagery, including a funeral, police sirens, people screaming, a fire and a car crash.

The upcoming Western thriller revolves around the tale of the Abbott family, who are struggling in the aftermath of the disappearance of a family member. Brolin stars as Royal Abbott, the Abbott family patriarch who struggles to protect his kin in the event of the mysterious happenings. In addition to the Academy Award-nominated actor, the series also stars Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie, and Will Patton. The series has been created by Brian Watkins, who also serves as its executive producer.
