Joined by his Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana co-star, Raj B. Shetty graced the maiden edition of the OTTplay Awards in Mumbai.
The maiden edition of the OTTplay Awards saw the best and the biggest talents from Indian cinema convene under one single roof. Transcending the language and cultural boundaries, artists from various different film industries flew down to Mumbai for the ceremonious night and proudly representing the Kannada Film Industry, the Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana lead pair of Raj B. Shetty and Rishab Shetty graced the stage of OTTplay Awards 2022.
Addressing the media in their quintessential candor, both Raj and Rishab shared their views on the advent of OTT media in India and how it has lent a new lease of life to the cinematic arts. In the vein, Raj B. Shetty spoke of his favourite OTT show of recent times and the one actor who has impressed him the most.
When quizzed about the OTT show, the Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana actor-director said the it's the 2018 Netflix original Sacred Games that has impressed him the most.
"I have been telling everyone here tonight that I really loved Sacred Games. I like Nawazuddin Siddiqui sir as an actor, the way he performs is fantastic, " said Raj Shetty at the OTTplay Awards.

And when asked about what he looks for in an actor, he added that the ability to reflect life is an incredible trait. "When you watch someone perform and feel that there is some piece of you in him or her, I feel that's that's a great actor. It's not easy though," he added.
Clad in his trademark panche, a simple black shirt, and topping the look with a vibrant red-hued scarf, Raj B. Shetty charmed the red carpet at the awards night as he, in the merry company of his close pal Rishab Shetty, shared many endearing moments with fellow artists.
Both Rishab and Raj B. Shetty were honoured for their amazing work as part of the new wave of Kannada cinema at OTTplay Awards 2022. Rishab Shetty would later humbly dedicate the award to the late Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar.
