A Thursday starred Yami Gautam and Atul Kulkarni in the lead roles.
Neha Dhupia has won the Best Supporting Actor in a Film (Female) for her performance in the movie, A Thursday. The actress bagged OTTplay Awards 2022 for her role in the film. She played the role of ACP Catherine aka Cathy in the film. The movie starred Yami Gautam and Atul Kulkarni in the lead roles.
Filmmaker Milap Zaveri presented the award to Neha, who recalled her emotional and strong journey while shooting the movie. She thanked the two men in her life – her husband Angad Bedi and their son, Guriq.
“I’m going to take an extra minute because this one is special. When we started filming, things were very different. Halfway through production (or pre-production), we (I and Angad Bedi) realized that I was having a baby,” Neha revealed.
The actress further shared, “Every two weeks, I was just getting more and more pregnant. Most importantly, I feel great to have got this opportunity at a time when women in business and worldwide cinema are doing so well.”
She spoke of a miracle that took place on the sets. “We finished dubbing on October 2 and my baby boy arrived on 3rd. So this one’s for him,” Neha recalled.
Summing it up, the actress said, “There are a lot of people I want to thank. Just when I thought that I wouldn’t be able to go ahead with a character because things were changing in my personal life. Many people ensured that this opportunity was not taken away from me.”
Neha is yet to confirm her next project after A Thursday. She was actively a part of Roadies but Neha is not seen on the show this time around either.
OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 took place on September 10. The awards took place from 7.30 pm in Mumbai.
