Ottakomban - Speaking at a function of the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce, the actor confirmed that shooting will begin on September 6.
Much to the delight of his fans, Suresh Gopi confirmed that his highly anticipated movie, Ottakomban, will start filming on September 6. He made this revealation while speaking at a function of the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce. Film enthusiasts are also getting more excited about this, as they anticipate seeing it in theatres by the end of this year or the start of 2025.
Since the project's launch, action movie buffs and the actor's fans have been impatiently awaiting any developments on the mass entertainer. Even though the movie's announcement was made in 2022, there were not many updates, which led his backers to believe that the project would be abandoned.

Under the Mulakuppadam Films' banner, Tomichan Mulakuppadam provides financial backing for the film, which is directed by Mathews Thomas. Joju George, Biju Menon, and Mukesh are rumoured to have significant roles in Ottakomban as well. Shibin Thomas penned the script for the movie.
The film's development was impeded by the COVID-19 lockdown that occurred in 2020. Subsequently, screenplay writer Jinu Abraham filed a plagiarism case, claiming that another Malayalam film, Kaduva, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, also bore similarities to its protagonist, Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan. The Ottakomban makers were then instructed by the court to stop utilising it.
