Polimera is a film that skipped a theatrical release and premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar in 2022. Initially, not many were aware of the film's release, especially since noted comedian Satyam Rajesh played a serious role, which was unexpected.

However, once the film began streaming, Polimera became a sensation, garnering widespread attention and clocking over 100 million streaming minutes, making it a smash hit on OTT.

Following the massive success of Polimera, director Anil Vishwanadh announced a sequel, Polimera 2, which was released theatrically. With effective promotions, the film opened well at the box office. Anil’s engaging narration impressed audiences, and Polimera 2 also turned out to be a blockbuster.

Riding on this success, Anil Vishwanadh has now bagged a golden opportunity to direct popular actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas. According to our sources at OTTplay, Anil recently met Sreenivas and narrated another thriller. The young star was impressed with the script and immediately gave his nod.

Latest update on Bellamkonda Sreenivas' next

As per the latest update, this project is expected to go on floors in the first half of 2025 and will be made on a reasonable budget. Bellamkonda Sreenivas, the son of star producer Bellamkonda Suresh, has been facing a rough patch in his career and is in need of a hit. His first major success came with the thriller Rakshasudu, where his performance was widely appreciated. Hoping to replicate that success, he has chosen another thriller as a safe bet to revive his career.

For Anil Vishwanadh, this is a challenging project, as working with a star kid comes with its own set of expectations and pressures. Known for his serious storytelling, Anil will have to strike a balance to meet audience expectations while showcasing Sreenivas in a compelling role.
